Arria

Samsung L201 compact camera, hand held

I took this shot of Arria on the 27th August 2010 using my small compact camera as i never had my normal gear with me, but if your into photography you should always have some type of camera at hand.

The artwork was created by artist Andy Scott and named Arria after Arria Fadilla, the mother of Emperor Antoninus. The 10m (33ft) structure overlooks the A80 at Cumbernauld, this stretch of road has approximately 70,000 commuters per day. The cost of the artwork was £250,000 and was unveiled in August 2010. I will be visiting Arria on a regular basis at different times of the year so hopefully capture some good shots.
